Biocair is proud to continue its annual festive campaign ‘Delivering Hope Together’, building on 4 years of working with local charities and communities around the world. Embodying Biocair’s values to make a positive impact on the communities it operates in, to date the campaign has donated £6,900 to these organisations. Biocair’s global teams have participated in a series of events and initiatives during December, each targeted towards the needs of its local communities.
Biocair’s parent company, Geopost, partners with the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) in a collaboration to fight food waste and insecurity. The partnership is driven by the shared goal of preventing food waste and contributing to food security. For the last three years, Biocair has supported foodbanks local to the Cambridge and Edinburgh offices. This year, the company is once again supporting local foodbanks in the UK and extending the activity to the US, Belgium and Germany.
Across Europe, Biocair is supporting local foodbanks through The Belgian Federation of Food Banks, Tafel Deutschland in Germany, and Cambridge City Foodbank, West Lothian Foodbank and Feltham Foodbank in the UK. Our US team is donating to local foodbanks through Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States. Employees have donated non-perishable items and Biocair has made financial contributions to each.
The team is also celebrating Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 11 December, and, following the success of the Biocair Bake-Off earlier this year, a festive Bake-Off will add to the fundraising and fun. In the US, the festive sweaters will take an ugly turn on Friday 19 December for National Ugly Sweater Day, also supporting Save the Children US.
The South African team are supporting The Light House Baby Shelter by providing gifts and essentials to children in need, as well as contributing financially. In China, Biocair is partnering with the Shanghai Red Cross Society of China, supporting their work to provide humanitarian aid and build community resilience.
“Our work is driven by teams all over the world, and their commitment to supporting and working with their communities is a core pillar of our goal to make a positive global and local difference. It is great to be able to celebrate the festive period while supporting those in need.”
