Timeline of events
Biocair was founded in 1986 as a specialist logistics provider to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries in Cambridge (UK). In 1993 Biocair recruited its first science graduate.
In 2002 we started our global expansion and opened our first US office in Boston. This enabled us to grow our relationship with our customers, by offering a deeper knowledge and understanding of regulations in the US.
In 2012 Biocair was acquired by the DPD group (a LaPoste company), who now own 100% of the shares. Biocair remain operating as Biocair International and will now benefit from enhanced supplier relationships and improved routes and networks across the globe.
A couple of years later in 2014 the company opened a new hub in Singapore and moved into its new Global HQ in Cambridge (UK).
Biocair was expanding again in 2016 and opened its network in South Africa, as well as launching MyCair, a new track and trace system.
Biocair finished 2018 by opening new facilities at London Heathrow (LHR), Brussels and Johannesburg, as well as developing its existing installations in Frankfurt and Shanghai. We also opened up new offices across the US, including Los Angeles, New York and Raleigh.
2019 started with the launch of Biocair's cryogenic services for cell and gene therapy by creating a network of liquid nitrogen facilities worldwide, including several locations across the US, continental Europe and Asia.
